mrb712 Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 I have an existing domain and account with TCH. I am planning to create a separate domain name for a completely different venture. Because I have tons of free space on my existing account, is it possible to have both domains reside on the same hosting account? I don't want either one of the domains to reference the other. They are completely independent. The new domain will not be parked on the existing domain. Just curious, and I would appreciate any help at all. Thanks, Michael Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Unless you have a reseller account it is not allowed according to AUP. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Welcome to the family, Michael As Thomas says you will require a reseller account to do that. Or you can purchase a regular hosting plan for the new domain. Quote
mrb712 Posted September 3, 2004 Author Posted September 3, 2004 Thank you both for your quick responses. I think I'll just sign up for another hosting package. They're so reasonable, why not? One question about that, however: how long after I purchase the domain can I set up the hosting package? Do I have to wait for the new domain name to propagate through the Internet before I can host it somewhere? Cheers, Michael Quote
TCH-Andy Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Hi, Welcome to the Family You can upload your files (and see them) using the IP address straight away. Although this doesn't always work well with FrontPage. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted September 3, 2004 Posted September 3, 2004 Once you receive your welcome email you can start accessing the web space. It will take up 72 hours for the new domain to propogate once you change the nameservers to point to TCH's name servers. Quote
