I'm Looking For Information On How To Install The

I'm looking for information on how to install the Advanced Poll that is in cPanel's Fantastico.

 

I have the poll created and I believe it is showing the code that needs to be pasted into the exisiting page's code but I seem to be doing something wrong.

 

Are there instructions anywhere?

We don't actually provide Fantastico on the TCH servers, so Advanced Poll isn't a supported package (and by the looks of it, not well documented by the author either having looked briefly at it's install docs). Your best bet may be to try the support forums provided by the creators of that script.

Hi Mike. I am new to quite a bit of this so I'm not quite sure what you mean when you "don't actually provide Fantastico on the TCH servers". I found the script by going through Fantastico on cPanel.

 

Since I am having such a hard time with that Advanced Poll is there one that TCH supports/provides.

I would go over to www.hotscripts.com and do a search on "voting polls" and go through what they have. I think you may have better luck.

I've really made a mistake here I was looking at the cPanel of my last host and I thought I was on the cPanel that is on tch! I do understand NOW what Mike meant about not offering Fantastico on tch servers. Sorry about the confusion.

 

 

By the way, any idea why I am not receiving email notifications of replies when I have signed up for them?

Just to doublecheck your forum settings

in My controls > e-mail settings

have you checked

Enable 'Email Notification' by default?

Enabling this option will automatically subscribe you to any topic you start or reply to.

 

 

Did you ever find a poll script?

Yes, I found a poll at www.snappoll.com It works but when I my site gets fully developed I will look, again for something, with more administrative features.
