skeptismo Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Hello to all, I'm wondering about the "levels" of some users in TCH Family forums What are those ? (Moderator, Lead Moderator, Staff, Immediate Family etc ?) Also I noticed that there are some "private" forums. How is someone get invited into these ? Thanks in advance, Panayiotis Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 Im no good at answering number 1, but number 2: You will have to pm a red person to get the password for the TCH Family only forum. Quote
skeptismo Posted August 25, 2004 Author Posted August 25, 2004 Thank Jikrantz, another question about times shown in posts. For example the reply that Jikrantz entered, shows : "Posted on Aug 25 2004, 07:59 PM" Is that MY local time, Jikrantz's local time or TCH server local time ? Is this configurable ? Thanks again , Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 In your control panel, you can set your local time under board settings. Quote
kevan_j Posted August 25, 2004 Posted August 25, 2004 And you rank under your avatar changes based on the number of posts you have made. Some are special ranks, only assigned to admins, moderators, etc. but the New to the Neighborhood, Distant Family, etc are for general users (like me and you) Quote
skeptismo Posted August 25, 2004 Author Posted August 25, 2004 In your control panel, you can set your local time under board settings So I suppose if I configure my settings in my account, all times I see in forums are accordingly to my local settings, right ? Thank you guys for your help ! Rock Sign Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 So I suppose if I configure my settings in my account, all times I see in forums are accordingly to my local settings, right ? That is correct. Quote
purplespider Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 So I suppose if I configure my settings in my account, all times I see in forums are accordingly to my local settings, right ? That is correct. With 1 exception, when a post is quoted, the time which stats when the post being quoted was posted, is in the timezone of the person quoting the post, no matter what your settings are set to. Not that important, just thought I would enclose it for completleness (and to confuse some ppl! ) James Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted August 26, 2004 Posted August 26, 2004 and to confuse some ppl! You did that now Quote
