costello Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 As a college student, I am shopping for a new computer. Since I am on a tight budget, I am considering getting one with integrated graphics (although not recommended, I know). My question is this: If I get one with integrated graphics, could I not install my own AGP video card later? Someone told me you couldn't install your own if the computer already has its video integrated into the motherboard. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 (edited) Yes, you will be able to install your own AGP video card at a later date if the motherboard has an AGP slot. Edited August 24, 2004 by TCH-Bruce Quote
TCH-Don Posted August 24, 2004 Posted August 24, 2004 Generally there is a jumper on the motherboard to disable the on board graphics display. Quote
