Greeting,

I just set up Firefox as my default browser (replacing IE). It works fine except that everytime I click on an ex-IE shortcut (now showing the Firefox icon), I get a windows popup saying:

"Windows cannot find 'http://www.thesitename' please verify that etc."

However, Firefox loads up and displays the site.

How can I get rid of this annoyance?

Thanks, Dan

I'm having the same problem with Firefox. Getting not only the *cannot be found .... * message but Firefox then opens up 2 copies of itself. One with the page loaded and one with a blank page. This only happens when I click on a link in an email.

Sorry for the vague answer here, but I had this kind of thing happen and I fixed it by going to a folder (directory) and going to Tools - Folder Options - File Types and ripping out the IE references that apply. I think the main one is "URL". The one you need is for links to URLs and not just the .htm .html, etc. files.

Hope it helps!
