motarque Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 once you get the website up, what rights should you put on the folders so someone just can't browse all your files? thx. Quote
TCH-Don Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 In cpanel you can use Index Manager The index manager will allow you to turn indexes on or off for a directory. If indexes are off, people will not be able to see what files are in a directory that lacks an index file. You can also just put an index.html page in a folder you wish to keep from being browsed. DarqFlare Posted July 21, 2004 Posted July 21, 2004 If you don't trust CPanel, put the following line in your .htaccess file in public_html: Options -Indexes Quote
