wfox Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 In researching web hosts, I've been impressed with the TCH support services, including these forums. I've not found anything like it anywhere else, and it clearly sets TCH apart. A friend also gave me a good reference to TCH and I'm inclined to sign up. I am setting up a number of Web sites and am interested in one of your reseller packages. One of these sites will be an e-commerce site. Two quick questions stemming from the fact that I've never set up a commerce site before. 1) The host packages page indicates that agora and oscommerce shopping carts are available, but I found reference on a help page that says the shopping carts are agora and interchange. 2) Once I set up the shopping cart, I understand that it can be tied to a merchant account to process the transactions. Can I use the TCH shopping cart solutions to tie to any credit card processing/merchant account service? Quote
TCH-Dick Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 Agora, Interchange and OScommerce are all available. You are able to set them up to use a merchant accaount Quote
wfox Posted July 11, 2004 Author Posted July 11, 2004 Thanks, Mike. One thing I'm concerned about. I've seen other hosts use the Miva solution. I take it this is a more costly solution, but it appears designed to connect to dozens of merchant accounts/payment gateways. Are there advantages other than cost to going with something like Agora or OSCommerce? And do these solutions have the widespread compatibility that Miva seems to offer? Quote
TCH-Rob Posted July 11, 2004 Posted July 11, 2004 osCommerce comes ready to accept 2CheckOut, PayPal, Authorize.net, iPayment, PSiGate, SECPay and NoCHEX. On top of that there are 254 payment modules you can implement from their contributions sections. As far as Agora, I am not sure. You might want to visit their website for more information. Quote
