Gres Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Hi, sorry if this is the wrong place to post questions but I am not sure where I should post general questions so I thought this would be a safe place. I am a customer of TCH, I purchase the cheapest package every month (which is a great deal ) I did and do not buy the domain from TCH, however. I bought my domain a year ago this august and, obviously, my purchase is about to expire. Now my questions is: Can I allow my current domain to expire, purchase a new one and route or direct(I dont know the terminology, sorry) my new domain to my current servers. Therefore, having all my pages and content at a new address? I hope you understand my question, I am not very experienced in the field of websites and such . Well thanks for your time Gres P.S. I love TotalChoiceHosting!! Quote
TCH-Dick Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Yes, you will just need to open a support ticket (link to the help desk at top of the page) and request the domain name be chamged to your new one. Quote
Gres Posted July 6, 2004 Author Posted July 6, 2004 Wow, that sounds easy enough. TCH is... beyond words. Thanx for the speedy responce and great service! Quote
Deverill Posted July 6, 2004 Posted July 6, 2004 Remember to make sure that none of your web pages use the full URL when linking to each other. If you have ><a href="/images/boo.gif"> then that's fine. If you have the www.**** anywhere in your site those pages will break when you change. Quote
