Does the servers config support .forward.?

I notice that I more or less have a home folder of sorts. Obviously it is not a full shell account and all but I have a script I would like to run that allows me to tie my mailing lists and my forum together. For this to work optimally it requires me to run a small shell script to pipe the emails into the forum.

Now I assume since most are set up in a chroot environment that this should be no problem. The only issue left would be weather or not .forward works so I can pipe the emails to a shell script.

I do have other methods to get this to work but this is the best way to achieve this.

Thank you.

As usual for me I have no real answer but I do see a potential issue. That is, shell scripts of any kind are not allowed. This could be an issue with accomplishing things that specific way.

I will let someone else answer the .forward part but I don't know if it will matter in the long run.

well the answer to that is quite obvious is it not. Since shell scripts are not allowed and the only reason whatsoever is to use .forward to pipe emails to another application or shell script. It would be rather meaningless or worthless to even have the option to have a .forward file that cant really be used for anything at all anyway.

there are other ways to do it but none that are as usefull.
