amansker Posted June 18, 2004 Posted June 18, 2004 I've created an email newsletter for a client - all addresses are voluntary. I'm sending html embedded in the email to myself. It is sent through a TCH dynamic IP mail server client of mine and is sent to another TCH mail server with Spam Assasin turned on. This is the info reported by SA after it marked the email as SPAM. ____________________________________________ 2.5 RCVD_IN_DYNABLOCK RBL: Sent directly from dynamic IP address [67.115.8.141 listed in dnsbl.sorbs.net] 0.1 RCVD_IN_SORBS RBL: SORBS: sender is listed in SORBS [67.115.8.141 listed in dnsbl.sorbs.net] ____________________________________________ I found the IP listed on SORBS and it appears the IP is listed only because it is dynamic. What's up with this? Can you get the IP unlisted? I searched the forum for SORBS and surprisingly got no hits. thanks. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted June 18, 2004 Posted June 18, 2004 The IP is a PacBell IP address and not a TCH address. Quote
TCH-Dick Posted June 18, 2004 Posted June 18, 2004 TCh has no contol over that IP. That is the IP that was assigned to you by your ISP. Quote
amansker Posted June 19, 2004 Author Posted June 19, 2004 That clears things up. Should have checked the IP - just assumed it was TCH. I was testing through multiple accounts and did send that through pacbell. thanks! Quote
