Hi,

Currently, I'm using a Horde webmail account at my registrar to receive e-mails that are sent to myaddress@****. I would like to purchase a hosting plan by TCH (including the transfer of my domain) and will likely use the Horde webmail interface at TCH.

I really would like to be able to transfer the e-mails that are in my current webmail account to my new webmail account at TCH. Using SM Outlook for this purpose isn't really an option  . I've seen that it's possible to download the various folders of my current webmail account to my harddrive using (folder management > download folder). This will create a folder.mbox text file in which all e-mails of the concerning folder reside.

Is it possible to import these files into my new Horde webmail account at TCH? And if yes, how? (because I couln't find an import folder option).

The "mbox" format is the standard email format for linux. Create your email account in cpanel, then use ftp to copy your inbox.mbox file to /mail/domain.com/user and rename it to inbox. Do the same for any other mbox files you have.

Ah, OK so it won't be a problem getting the e-mails from my old account into the new one at TCH in this manner. Thanks!

I had some emails that I transfered from Windows IIS imail server. They were in a different format, but I imported them into Mozilla email, then exported them to mbox format, renamed them, and ftp'd them to tch, and it worked.

Since yours are already in mbox format, it should be fairly simple. Let me know how it goes...
