TCH-Dick Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 Lets keep the size of images in signatures down, prefferably no bigger then your average banner 468 x 60. not everyone is on a high speed connection and loading all of these signature images can take forever on dial up. Quote
DCS Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 Thanks for letting me know, Mike. I realized my signature was a bit large before. But I've got it corrected . Quote
borfast Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 I completely agree with you, Mike. I'd go even further and add that as a forum rule. Have you ever tried to view a forum page with 20 posts, each one containing a 460x60 banner, over a 56K connection? It's a really nasty torture... Quote
DCS Posted June 6, 2004 Posted June 6, 2004 I have changed my signature from a .gif to .jpg so it lowers the quality and also is easier to view for those using dial-up. Hope this helps for the ones using dial-up . Quote
