Problem With Email Password

I'm trying to configure OE to recieve my site email. I made a new identity and entered the servers, but now OE won't recognize my password. I've tried re-installing the password and it still won't recognize it. It's the same password used for my email account. The error message says "Password not recognized. Mismatched name and password?"

I've just discovered this: your Account Name in OE should be

 

name@domain.com

 

It's not the password that's wrong, but the account name.

 

Try that.

PS: I'm new here too, so just speaking from experience of transferring 6 domains in the past week. Every one of them had this issue. While I didn't have to do this with the MAIN account mail, for every other one I added, I had to enter it like above.
