whoahorse Posted May 28, 2004 Posted May 28, 2004 Does anyone know how to change the time of a session? I would like to make my time longer before it disconnects me but I just can't seem to find that answer in CUTE FTP help. For example, I load a file, then I might be working on coding, and I come back and I have to reconnect to my site. Thanks! Weezy Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 28, 2004 Posted May 28, 2004 The server will disconnect you after 15 minutes no matter what you set your FTP program to do if you are not actively using the connection. Quote

I would be thrilled with 15 minutes. Right now I get about 1 minute. LOL! Thanks for posting! Weezy Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted May 28, 2004 Posted May 28, 2004 (edited) OK, I use Cute FTP 5.0 and if you select Edit and then Setting and then the Connection tab you can set the timeout there. Then look at the Smart Keep Alive settings. Edited May 28, 2004 by TCH-Bruce Quote
whoahorse Posted May 29, 2004 Author Posted May 29, 2004 Thanks! I use 4.2 but I sure they are similar? Thanks for your help! Weezy Quote
DCS Posted June 4, 2004 Posted June 4, 2004 I have used both versions of CuteFTP 4.2 and 5.0 and they're the same thing [from my perspective]. Quote
