amansker Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 I hope to sell turnkey web sites that use php/mySQL and require some setup. These will use a newly purchased domain name, or it will be supplied by the client. I want to set up the account on the server, install php apps, and then, at a later date, direct a domain name to that account. How can I do that with cpanel? Quote
natimage Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 I'm no expert, but it sounds like you would be needing a reseller account. In which case, you could do what you are talking about using the Web Host Manager. Doing it without being a reseller sounds like you would have to purchase/transfer the domain, buy the TCH account for client, and then you would have access to a cpanel for that account. But...I could be wrong. I'm sure someone more enlightened will verify. Thumbs Up Quote
TCH-Rob Posted May 27, 2004 Posted May 27, 2004 I am no more enlightened than Tracy but I can agree with what she said. Quote
amansker Posted May 27, 2004 Author Posted May 27, 2004 I am a reseller. Wow, wish everthing was that easy. Thought I had tried this before and couldn't find the option. I see "edit accounts" shows the domain and evidently it can be changed. thanks! Quote
