Looking For... My Email

Hello,

 

I just switched over to TCH and am having a little trouble getting my email client set up.

 

I can access the webmail, but I get a "Login Failed..." error when I try to recieve it through Entourage.

 

Just wondering if anyone else uses Entourage and can offer any tips.

Are you trying to log in with domain.com? If so it can be a propagation issue, which can take up to 72 hours.

also, when setting up your e-mail client the username is username@domain.com

I am, maybe that's the problem, although the site shows up at the domain address.

 

Is it possible for the site to propigate and not the email?

No, if DNS has propagated and yopu can access the site by domain name, the e-mail should work also.

 

Other things to try if its not the username issue i mentioned above. Try selecting "my server requires authentication" should be under server properties, I'm not familliar with entourage.

It is very possible that mail.****** hasnt propagated whilst www.****** has.

 

Try using the server IP address instead of the mail.******

It seems to be working fine now.

 

I guess I just need to be more patient.
