Before I sign up with TCH I need to know what type of files you can upload and if there is a limit as to the size. I couldn't seem to find this information.

I want to be able to upload some videos in RP and WMP format which means this service would have to accept RM, RAM, WMV, and WVX files I believe unless there's other extensions I'm not familiar with.

Is that possible?

Those shouldnt be any problem but wait for a techie answer. :P

Remember one thing though, streaming media (which i dont know is allowed) can take a lot of bandwidth.

You should be able to upload any of those formats with no problems. You are only resticted by the amount of web space you have purchased.

As Thomas says streaming eats up a lot of bandwidth so be aware of that. And as to streaming it is not allowed on a shared server. You can only use the http and ftp methods for delivery.

If you have more questions just ask. :P

I'm not sure what you mean by only being able to use Http and FTP methods for delivery and what exactly is a shared server? Is that what I'd be signing up for?

If I wanted to share short video clips with friends, can I put them in a zip folder and upload them that way? This wouldn't use my as much bandwidth, right?

In most cases, yes that is what people sign up to. Shared server simply means that you and a bunch of others share same server. Thats all, nothing makes it worse or better by being on a shared server.

Yep, you can zip it and share it with friends.
