To Rob I tried the 30 day trial of Acdsee 6.0 some time ago, it crashed all the time. At that time I had 128 MB RAM, a while after I installed more RAM (256 MB) and figured I try it again since I had reformatted my harddrive I should be able to use it 30 days more, but it kept crashing. Is 6.0 stable? To Raul Thanks for the irfanview idea. I have now downloaded it, not yet installed. One thing that crossed my mind though when downloading it was that there is no linux-version, so how can you tell? Uh oh, bad Thomas

To VI: When I have sorted them through nav. pane, can I then use the batch rename to give them the right numbers? I never used the navigation pane before and the batch rename I never had use for before.

Im not saying Raul is wrong, im just kind of confused because... How come its sorted correct in explorer then and not like 1, 1001, 2... I mean if acdsee uses some alpha sort because windows does, how come its sorted right (numeric sort) in explorer that is a part in windows?

I just noticed that the files are sorted correctly in explorer, so it can not be that, Raul. Hm..?

I think the solution why MSN icons isnt working is found. According to http://www.onlinestatus.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=343 Microsoft have begun to block OSI hosts.

I have spent a couple of days now trying to figure this out. Acdsee´s way of sorting files are 098.jpg 099.jpg 100.jpg 1000.jpg 1001.jpg 1002.jpg 1003.jpg 1004.jpg 1005.jpg 1006.jpg 1007.jpg 1008.jpg 1009.jpg 101.jpg 1010.jpg While I want it 098.jpg 099.jpg 100.jpg 101.jpg >>> 1000.jpg 1001.jpg 1002.jpg 1003.jpg 1004.jpg 1005.jpg 1006.jpg 1007.jpg 1008.jpg 1009.jpg 1010.jpg and so on... Does anyone know how to fix this?

Doesnt visitors to most sites that have functions for lets say visually impaired need I.E? I have not seen one site yet that have those functions that works in Mozilla, Firefox etc...

I have now in cmos done this: 1. Changed boot order to the following; 1st; CD-rom 2nd; HD-0 3rd; HD-1 4th; Floppy but... there was an option if I wanted to *seek for floppy a boot up too which was enabled but is now disabled. Should that be disabled? *= Dont remember the exact words. About pulling plug, would that just be for diagnostic reasons or should I let it be pulled? There´s some practical (physical ) reasons to that I would like to not have it pulled forever.

It was me who got the DVD burner. I got it yesterday, but forgot to buy empty dvd´s so i dont know how that works yet, but burning a cd worked fast (40x instead 8x on the old). I´ll check the bios/cmos thing.

I finally bought and installed a Lite On SOHW-812S today. I forgot to buy empty dvd´s, so i dont know how well it burns dvd´s but i burned a cd, which was fast. My old cd-burner burned in 8x and this dvd-burner burns cd in 40x. Nice increase. Dont know how fast the dvd burning is yet for natural reasons. Thanks everyone involved.

Addition...I forgot to say... It does only do this at boot up not when rebooting. If looking for a floppy, shouldnt it do it even if rebooting?

It is set to check for floppies at boot up, but I was thinking that since there is no floppy in it to check it shouldnt try to and certainly not do this sound 1-4 times.
