I have several .com names, my question is: Is there a way to point to a different folder on the website. For example, If I have www.test.com as my main account I signed up with, could I have www.test2.com point to a folder on the server something like, www.test.com/test2/ and open an index page in there, only in the address bar it would still show the www.test2.com site address? I would like to point a few of my sites that I play around with over to my server here. If that's not possible what do I have to do to at least point them to my server here so that which ever site they type in like www.test.com or www.test2.com it will open the same page. Basically, I want to let people gain access to an area by typing in the username and password in a forum type box, like you do in PHPNuke, or in the forums so that they can skip the popup box login. Just the <TD> is the same width while the height is auto adjusting obviously depending on the content. Can you use a css and still be W3C compliant? I'll have to mull that one over and see. Mav

I'll have to look and see what I can do to wedge that bugger in there. I'll be d****d if it's not always something corn-holing my designs. I wish Dreamweaver would set it so I couldn't use the d**n choices like it does with the behaviors. It could make life somewhat easier. Then again I should have know better once I started to begin doing fancy design and trying to still be W3C HTML 4.01 compliant. Oh well, live and learn. Back to the think tank to figure this out. Okay, then what can I do to keep a background image in the <td> area? I looked in my book for this and it shows "BACKGROUND" as a usable attribute. Anyone use Dreamweaver? Is there a way to set the standard so it will only allow you to use those tags which are html 4.01? I have it checked in the preferences for 4.0 but apparently that does not flag a warning or anything.

Okay, so I launch my page over to the validator and I can seem to get rid of this one thing. Line 283, column 55: there is no attribute "BACKGROUND" (explain...). ...lor="#FFFFFF" width="140" background="images/greengrid.gif" class="sidebar"> What the heck is wrong with the background attribute? Am I missing something? I've received this error on several of my backgound attributes. Here is a link to my test site W3C validation for Mav2u site I already have fixed the other ALT attributes and onLoad ones. I'll update so only the background should be showing. If not just ignore the others as I have corrected them. Thanks for any help on this matter. Mav

I just put the files on the server, dragged my .htaccess and config.php over from my other one and used the file from nukecops to set it up again after I set the permission on the site to the correct settings. And voila it all worked and I set it up and was done in less the 15 minutes. I'm getting rather good a this PHP setup stuff with PHPbb, nuke, and MT. Using cpanel or straight config I'm learning this stuff quick. I also just used my module for my photo gallery and connected to the same setup. It copied and exact mirror setup over to the new board like nothing was ever wrong. Now I'm done and happier than a pig in a mud bath. Thanks Leezard for the nuke cops site, Mav

Yeah, I just had my site all set up with 6.0. I would hate to start all over again. Especially reloading my entire picture gallery. Was 6.0 really that buggy? For such a nice program it sure is a pain in the butt to upgrade. I would think it would be easier than this! Mav

Anyone done the upgrade from 6.0 to 6.5? I'm wondering because I have tried it reading the instructions with 6.5 but it does not work. Gives me an error message like this. Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /home/***omitted by me***/public_html/nuke/upgrade60-65.php on line 39 I just placed the upgrade60-66.php file in my nuke folder and tried to run it and this is what I get. That is the only file it said to upload. I'm assuming that is correct but I don't know much about PHP to fix the error or know what it means exactly TIA, Mav

I see no PHPbb choice in my addon scripts choice. I'm on server 23, is this not updated on here yet? Not that I'm in a hurry to use it but I would like to see if if runs any better than Invision board. Seems alot of people like it. But, I want to see for myself before I convert. Thanks, Mav

Yeah, I can't wait to get the redo of my site done. Now that I can use MySQL stuff I can upload all my pictures, and have a nice Weblog with MT, or Nuke. I also get nice forums to, a much sweeter deal than I had before. Only I'll miss is the support for Cold Fusion I had on the other server. But, I'll just keep another small account with them so I can test my cfm stuff over there for a while. Unless Total Choice is thinking about Cold Fusion Hosting here to. No big deal, I'll still have my home server to test on also. But so far I must say this TCH Rocks

That's what I figured for the bandwidth for a file. I figure it would take a lot of visitors on a normal webpage of around lets say 50 Kb to have a butt load of visitors. But I wan't sure if it goes by each visit or by each reload of the page or what exactly. I'm not real worried about the site going over as I had 5 gb on my other server and never went over. But I do have forums, MT, and Nuke on this server and I'm starting to get a little concerned about my bandwidth. True, I would imagine I'll get an email if I should happen to hit the ceiling on my bandwidth. So that I might have the option of upgrading if needed. Or check to make sure some punk hasn't linked my content and is sucking up mine and everyone elses bandwidth on the servers. I appreciate the response, and I have been 110% satisfied with your service and the general attitude of everyone who is here in the forums. I can't wait for the 30 days to be up for my test run and switch my other accounts over on a reseller account. I'm sure I will be completely satisfied and so will my clients when I bring them over and will be able to offer them these totally awesome services. ( When I say clients I only have four right now...hehe...but it sounds like I'm really big time already though doesn't it...) Well enough ranting, I have things to play with in cpanel. Off I go! Mav

Okay, I just joined the party with the basic 5 gb $44 dollar special. My question is how does one estimate what amount of usage is enough to have. I see the counter in the cpanel but I haven't moved my other sites over here yet. Exactly how many visitors or downloads would a person have to have to reach 5 gb? If I put a 20mb sample movie I made on my server for clients to view how fast would this eat up my bandwidth. Or would it? Sorry for the questions but it is just one of those things I've always wondered about. Plus I wanna make sure I don't go over and make people mad. You all seem like nice people, and I'd like to keep it that way....heh..

Never mind I figured it out. I searched through the forums on here and pieced it together. Instructions aren't really that straight forward. Maybe I'll jot something down the the TCH team to add to their instructions. I went back and totally ingnored the cgi-bin install and used the main level folder and it worked like a champ..... Now my brain hurts so I must go have a seat on the couch, Jeremy (dazed and confused like always )

Okay I understand this sort of, but the directions aren't real great on what your suppose to put in on the files. Like setting the full path of the StaticWebPath /?????/ and that stuff. I have an idea but I'm used to using Microsoft IIs and SQLServer stuff so all these other things are a little new. So if anyone has installed or could help with this I would greatly appreciate it. I see that you have updated these forums to the newest Invision but the cpanel I use is still using 1.0.1. I would like to be able to just update with the cpanel or just have the new version make a new one with the latest Invision for me. But if not how or what do I have to do to update the 1.0.1 to the 1.1.2 version that you are using? Thanks, Mav
