thanks for reply, I have a autoresponder and there are 5 files that has to be run as cron job, and now working fine, this is one the cron job: 1- Now do you mean I should put " > /dev/null" at the end of every one of them? like this: I would like to ask about the other post that I had about running a cron job, and your reply: 2- I appreciate if you give me more details on how to do it or any tutorial around. thanks

Hello, I have run couple of cron jobs, one for every 4 hours, one every 12 hours or so, now I get email everytime the cron job is run, I want to prevent that, I did read some post on the same issue here, that I can run another cron job like the following to prevent that : but what should I replace with "my-script.php" ? Thanks for help.

thank you for reply; I did notice that once in a minute might be too much, it is for autoresponder, i intend to put it once every 5 minutes or 10 minutes. Thanks

If I want to run a script once at a minute is the following line is correct? * * * * * and once at one day 0 0 * * * thanks

Hello; I am trying to underestand the relation between cron job and autoresponder, that how these two work together, I have no ieda how to start. I have already looked at couple of tutorial on using cronjob in cpanel, I underestand that cron job is for scheduling something, but autoresponder has its own scheduling and totally in a different way, I am totally lost, Here is what I want to do, 1- visitor come to my site sign up to my newsletter using the form on my site 2- after confirmation they are now part of my mailing list ( this part working now) 3- now the person gets the first newsletter, 4- 3 days later the second newsletter goes to him/her. 5- 2 days later the third one goes, and so on.. until all newsletters gone ( 14 newsletter) I need help to underestand the relation of crob job and autoresponder here and how to set it up, because the newsletter does not delivered now. thank you

Hello; I am searching to find a good autoresponder script for my web site, there are tons of them around, and I am not sure which one I should try, some of them are too expesive. I am in a tight budget, this is what i want to have: 1- have a form in my site, be able to make at least two field in the form, (name and email). 2- double opt in option 3- be able to have a schedule option for sending out newsletter, for example upon signing to my list after the confirmation, the first newsletter goes out then 3 days later the next one and 2 days later the 3rd one, and so on.. you know you should be able to adjust the timing. and also be able to send scheduled newsletter to your imported list/s. 4- be able to personilize the email using variable. 5- be able to import mailing list into it. 6- secure of course, in terms of virus attatck, spam or etc... your help is appreciated. I just clicked and went back, I see folder of Cpanel, and inside of it lots of files and folder I don't think I should have access to this folder.

I see, so the setting has been changed, when I log in it goes directly into htmp_public, right? I just don't want to delete unnecessary file or folder, now I have take those file out. thanks.

Hello; I have signed up for hosting service yesterday, I got my id, and pass, and IP address, I had some problem of logging into my account, and last night it was solved by you guys, thanks a lot, today I tried to upload my files , using Ftp, but when I log in, it does not look as it should, I have already one site hosted by you guys, and familier with the look, what folder should be there and so on.., usually when you log in using ftp, you should see folder for public html or www. somthng like that then by opening the public-html folder you can make folder and upload your files there, but now when I log in I don't see any public-html folder or something like that, I see Cgi-bin folder, Image folder, some images ,private folder , /icon folder, and a html file called: postinfo.html, is this a new setting? or... need little help here. thanks.

Hi that is me again; this time I am trying to use a ioncube loader but it won't work, this is part of some php script for newsletter. I don't know much about this kind of thing, but I want to load a script file that is run-time optimized, but it won't run just by puting it in a folder, is there anything I can do to make it work? if so please direct me. Hello everybody; I am little confused now, appreciate it if I can get some help. We have a web site that has been hosted by total choice close to 3 years, I have a database and some pages of website working fine with this DB, Certain things I can not remember on setting the user for database since I did it about 3 years ago, What I wanted to do make another database for a newsletter, just experimenting with different free script, on control panel, I did click on "MySQL Databases" and in the area made a DB, and then add a new user , and set the user to the new DB , now going to set up the newsletter, on setting page, the program can not log in, in another word it does not recognize the user id and pass, I double checked the new user id and new database match. So I turned around and used the user id and pass of the old DB for new DB as well, Now go to the newsletter setting page, page comes up and works fine. I did not understand why this thing does not work with new user. What I did, change the user id and pass of old DB just set it to a new id, right in "MySQL Databases" area and also put the new id and pass in the config file and upload it to the site, Go to browser and load the page, my old page does not populate data out of DB, So opened the config file again and put the old id and pass back save it, upload it and now the my old page works fine, but in MySQL Databases area the old DB has different user than in config file, because I did not put the old user to the old DB back. There is no connection problem right now, But what am I missing here? Why I can not make it work for new user? Thanks for clearing this up for me.
