  1. Thanks tch-dick! I will of course keep you in mind and have already directed my friends to tch and possibly soon some non-profits I work with.
  2. I have been with tch for a year (apparently) now when today I found out my account had been renewed for another year without my notification. I have been blogging less and less lately so I figured I would just end my account at the end of my first year here and possible come back at a later time. I thought my renew date was in mid Feb, however it turns out my renew date was the end of Jan. 1. I figured tch would warn me before renewing my service and charging my credit card but I guess that is too much to ask. 2. After putting in a support ticket the only reply I get is "sorry that you are leaving". You could refund my money; we are talking very few days over the renewal date. 3. tchgurubillh told me that an email was sent to the original account email about my renewal but that email doesn’t work any longer..... What I am saying is tch doesn’t make it clear about account renews and always reminds users to update the cPanel email address and one would think they would use that email to communicate with the customer. Other than this problem while I am on my way out the door I have had no complaints about tch. They have been great! Extremely good reliability (at least my server) and fairly fast tech support.
  3. This is a cool Easter Egg in php. Go to a page that is running php (such as the forum site) and add ?=PHPE9568F36-D428-11d2-A769-00AA001ACF42 to the end of the url. for example http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/?...69-00AA001ACF42
  4. I am glad you figured it out.
  5. I notice when it tries to open the page it says "transferrig data from mochibot.com" Do you know what mochibot.com is?... what ever it is it could be holding up everything else on the page from loading.
  6. ie... I am still having the problem.
  7. That is what I would assume also, so I figured it should/would be "/home/your-cpanel-name/public_html/web/moodle" or '/home/your-cpanel-name/public_html/web/moodle' (the latter being what the install.php file output).
  8. Before I go out and purchase a dedicated server for moodle I thought I would run a test install on my domain here... However it does not seem to be working. I did everything like it said in the install.php and then said to download the config.php and place it in the home moodle directory. Now it says I will be transferred to http://****/moodle/admin/index.php, which i am, but it is a blank page. in the Installation FAQ for Moodle it says This doesn't seem to work either. Any help would be great
  9. Currently I have www.**** hosted here. However I want to switch www.**** with a new domain name www.myNEWdomain.com. In this new domain can I make a subdomain such as mydomain.myNEWdomain.com and have www.****" point/addon/parked(?) to that location? Thus when ever I enter www.**** into the browser it is really pulling the content from mydomain.myNEWdomain.com..... More to come (possibly) depending on this reply. Sorry if this is confussing or a repeated topic.
  10. I am using dada 2.9.2. Is there an easy way to upgrade?
  11. Is there a way to make my connection to mt.cgi secure? Possibly having the http:// changed to https://?
  12. Elise has a tutorial on here site here this is how i figured out what to do. Learning Movable Type
  13. Does anyone know of a program for Windows (xp) to keep a running count of how much bandwidth I use... That will show stats of how much I download and/or upload? Jerm
  14. I lik editpad lite (I am too cheap for pro).
