  1. I use screenshots from AA on one of my websites. Pictures/Screenshots should be no problem. Now if you are "selling" them or charging a fee to look at them I would think you might get into some grey area. Custom maps and "Mods" for games as long as the game allows them (AA does not and you can supposedly get into trouble if you do AA mods) should also not be a problem. I had some HL maps and the such on an older site. Now for the ROMs Im going to have to say I have no clue and or opinion. ALSO I am no way affiliated with Totalchoice. So I would also suggest that you follow up with an email if you do not get a response from a "valid" Totalchoice rep.
  2. Cool beans.
  3. I like to think people were watching this like a soap opera. Anyho along these lines are you saying that the best way to get files to the server is to FTP? I usually use FP2002. What other benefits would FTP have over FP/CP? thanks
  4. Ahh See you go to West Potomac... BOOOOO. I graduated from TC Williams. Well TC was great back in my day. Nothing like it is now. O well good luck!
  5. Get OUT! you wont believe this but when I watched the one I thought the area looked familiar. Now Im going to have to DL it again and see ifI can tell. Ive lived in NVA all my life. Im 37 (old fart) married kid in Stafford VA now. I was just asking where in VA there was a Film festival.
  6. Where and when in Virginia?
  7. Ok Im a boob. Let this be a lesson. If the written instructions say to do it that way, you damn well better do it that way or it wont work. I was extracting the file into a folder on my desktop. Then I was copying that folder to my cgi-bin folder. BUT the instructions said copy the tar file to the cgi-bin and the extract it. Live and learn. Now the question I have is what difference does it make? Is there some type of "executable" that attaches itself to the cgi-bin? Jsut curious. Thanks K! Jim
  8. This guy has a website hosted via TCH I believe http://www.realeyz.com/ You may want to contact him directly.
  9. I was thinking the exact same thing.... It was from a site you recommended. http://fuzzymonkey.org/newfuzzy/software/perl/ The program is: My Calendar and I was also looking at My Photo Gallery.
  10. O wait there is no listing for Cal.........so is this script a no go?
  11. Thanks. So yes to everything. So Ive "dumped" all the required info into my cgi folder under facciolli.com but the link gives me an 500 error. Do I address this to you guys or the script orginator? Also why do some of my sites have cgi and others do not? Is that something I install? Thanks again.
  12. I sense a jab.
  13. Yup, loved the movie and was in the play in HS.
  14. So far it works I will probably break it later today!!
  15. OK. Finding all kinds of neat programs and trying to incorporate them/test them. I have found a "calendar" program that lets people add events and even recv emails when events have benn updated. The requirements are: 1. web server (tested on apache Linux/Unix but reported to work on Windows NT/2000) 2. Perl 5.00503 (may work with others) 3. cal is required but already installed on just about every server. 4. pscal is required for making printable calendars in postscript format. I also need to "dump" the script into my cgi folder but do not appear to have one on the webpage Im wanting to do this on: 1. Install scripts ftp mycalendar-xxx.tar.gz to your cgi-bin/ directory on your server $ tar -zxvpf mycalendar-xxx.tar.gz this will create a calendar/ directory in that directory 2. edit template.html to match your site To customize the look, simply edit template.html. This file can be created with any html editor or text editor as long as it retains the hidden HTML comment, <!-- content --> . This comment is where the content (calendar) will be placed. 3. password protect protected/ directory Use htaccess or some other method to password protect the protected/ dirctory. Doing this will require your users to supply a password if they ever attempt to edit any events. I dont think it NEEDS to be FTPd I can just "unzip" them and move them to the cgi directory. (one of my sites has the cgi directory but not the one I want to have it in. Just testing it.) Which I did BUT when I point my browser to http://facciolli.com/cgi-bin/calendar/index.cgi I get an internal (500)server error. Thanks for any help.
  16. Yup. Thanks Jim. I just figured it out late last night. After reading thorugh the code on my web page I realized some of the lines where attempting to point to the place I extracted them all to and not where they were copied to. Once I went in and "redirected them" and everything works. Thanks for the help.
  17. Thanks but that did not work either. I deleted ALL of the .js files and replaced them with "fresh" edited ones from my harddrive. BTW How many people reconize your Avatar? Brings back memories.
  18. OK. I downloaded a free template. In it is a file called: custom.js The template has instructions that it needs to be edited to customize it for your use. So I opened it in notepad and edited a line from product 1 to Web Templates. But when I save and refresh it does not change on my site. When I do it (edited the file) offline from my harddrive it works fine. SO I figure copy that and replace it on my web folders online. It still doesnt work. The menu still displays Product 1. So now im confused and come here for help. Here is the part of the code: addMainItem("products.html","Products",80,"center","_self"); defineSubmenuProperties(120,"right","left"); addSubmenuItem("product1.html","Web Templates","_self"); addSubmenuItem("product2.html","Product 2","_self"); addSubmenuItem("product3.html","Product 3","_self"); addSubmenuItem("product4.html","Product 4","_self"); If any more info is needed I will provide all I can. Thanks!
  19. And now the after. The "wife" suggested that with that mess there was no chance to win anything so I uh....err made the decision to clean up. Yeah I made the decision.....at least thats what my wife told me to say.
  20. What do you do perform open heart surgery on that work surface?
  21. Here is the "desktop", complete with cigar, cigar cutter, ashtray, Miami Dolphins Zippo, Front Page book, etc. and so forth: A wider angle shows how much of a 38 year old kid I really am!!! All the "spare" parts from various computers. Installed an Air Conditioner. The garage gets HOT in the summer. The 36 inch TV (To use with my NEW DVD player...hint hint) Leather chair Computer magazines to the left. And just more books.....to many books thinks my wife.
  22. OK. I am beginning to do a lot of "banners" and "sig" files for people and was wondering if there is a way to make my images folder "non-browserable", but still leave the images accessible if "linked". Meaning if you click on the link: http://aa.facciolli.com/images you will see the list of "files" there and be able to click and view them. Can I "lock" that but still be able to link pictures like this thanks
  23. I like talking to myself. Sites not complete but I made a "quick" button so I would not forget. If you want me to remove it let me know. Is that yellow atom looking thing your logo? If so can I use that graphic in a future button? You can view it at: http://aa.facciolli.com
  24. Does TC have its own banner so I can put on my web pages? Preferably one of the small ones. If not do you have a problem with me "making" one? Thanks
