  1. I wrote a perl script that does a nice snapshot of web usage in the past few hours, using the daily access.log file. In order to work, I need a path to the daily access.log file on the server. It's a pain-in-the-butt to have to download the monthly access.log file each time I want to check my stats for the last few hours, and I don't like having to wait til midnight for AwStats to update. Is downloading truly the only way we can get access to the raw file? Thanks

  9. Hi all, i polygraph is a flash-based magic trick of my own invention. When operated correctly, it can be used to convince innocent victims that your computer can read minds. Whether you use it as a magic trick, as a practical joke, or to win wagers in internet cafes is up to you. If you go straight to the site via the link above, it won't work properly. To learn the secret of getting it to function, read the following webpage: i polygraph: secret decoder ring A similar card trick for fans of the Weekly World News can be found here: The Oracle of Batboy If you like *making* Flash-based software toys, you may like this other site of mine, which contains copious actionscript-based source code examples. Jim's Flash Bestiary I'm a new family member here and thought this would be as good a place as any to introduce myself, since my websites are mostly of the fun & games variety. I've already moved the ipolygraph site to TCH and I'm in the process of transferring my software toy site, krazydad.com, and my personal site jbum.com (a somewhat more intricate operation, since they're currently housed on a highly customized server). - Jim Bumgardner
