I have a website and have heard people talk about backing up their website on cd. Can anyone explain exactly how this is done? The servers and backup servers at prodj.com and their webadmin program and hosting services went down and now they have lost EVERYTHING all the way back to April. That is kind of scary to know that in a blink of an eye everything could be lost. So if anyone could let me know how to make a back (cd) copy of my website or someone else said ghost my hd, that whould be great info for me to know. Thanks in Advance.

i have checked the server maintance forum and couldn't find anything that helps - i don't even know what server my site is located on. My problem is i can't access my site, my clients can't access the client loggin from my site and i can't even get access to my cpanel. Is any of the servers down tonight.

i am trying to publish my webpage to the internet using frontpage 2003 i have the site built and ready to go. Heres the problem, when i go to remote website, in the view tab, then go to remote website properties, I click on remote webserver type (since i am posting to a total choice site), then down lower in the remote website location box, i put in http://www.mysite.com, then click ok. then i get this error message: Unable to open 'http://www.mysite.com'. server error: the web server at "http://www.mysite.com" does not seem to have windows sharepoint services installed. Possible causes: 1.the webserver may not have frontpage server extentions installed 2.the webserver might be temporarily out of service 3.if you are connected through a proxy server, the proxy settings may be incorrect. 4.an error may have occurred in the web server. If this server does not support frontpage server extensions, frontpage my still be able to publish to the server via ftp or webdav. please select one of these options and try again. now i went to my cpanel and frontpage extensions was not installed so i clicked install and it said they had installed. has far as i know i am not connected through a proxy. does anyone have any ideas?

I have a pics page on my website that i have sized down about 10 pictures so they would all fit on the page - however because of the size, you can not get a real good look at them. What i would like to do is to be able to have visiters come to the page and click on one of the picture and have it get bigger so they can see them. (they are wedding party picture from different events i have had and sometimes the bride and groom or guests visit to see pictures of the event)

I am wanting to make the pictures on my site open up as thumbnails so people can get a better look at them - how can this be done?

I was wondering two things. First, I have all my domain email from both of my sites sent to microsoft outlook. When the mail is forwarded from my sites to outlook they go into the bulk mail folder, i have added the email to the address book so the program would acknowledge that they are on my list but they still go to junk mail. Is there any way to get this changed and have them go to my inbox? Second question, since i use my outlook to read all my email (since i have so many diffent email accounts) i have noticed that ALOT of times i recieve email that was not addresed to me, i.e, if i am phillip@totallymobiledjs.com, i get mail sent to 1234@yahoo.com, and so on. It isn't just sent to one specific person that i recieve, but to all different people and all of it is junk spam mail. Also in order for me to delete a specific email, i have to click on the email in the top window and it automaticly opens a preview in the lower window before i have a chance to click delete. This creates a problem if it is I AM A SPAMMER or something that i don't want to have on my computer. is there a way to delete the email from outlook without having to click on an email or click on select all then delete? i hope that wasn't to confusing, i know what i wanted to ask but wasn't sure it came out right. thanks

WOW! Thank You guys alot! I was about to give up. Woke up this morning and checked on this post and less then 30 min. later had the test page published correctly. Gonna leave it up for just abit to change what i had built around some, but it looks like i should have something up and running before the weekend is over. Thanks Again! I have 2 companys both mobile disc jockey companys First one is Totally Mobile Pro DJ Service (specializing in Weddings and Corporate Functions) and Full EFX Mobile Entertainment (for school, birthdays, parties, ect.) Totally Mobile is the parent company and Full EFX is the spin off so I would Probably only need one for Totally Mobile. i actually have 2 sites, fullefx.net and indianadjs.com. i pulled both of them down when i checked them and seen that instead of publishing the site it just published the index files. i put a test page back up on fullefx.net so you can see what it is doing. when i publish it i published to the public_html folder and this is what happened. The main page i believe for this example, was titled Full EFX Mobile Entertainment. If you click on the file full_efx_mobile_entertainment.htm it will show you what the test page was supposed to look like and you can even go through the links, but it didn't publish as a website. thank you for any help and input you can afford.

Looks like a bomb hit it - and this is a good day!

I am new to the whole website thing. i have tried to figure out html and got the start of it but then it got complicated for me, so i bought a program for "dummies" called Web Easy 4.0. I put up a little one page info site for my Mobile Disc Jockey company and it was ok for starters but now that the business has picked up, I thought that i needed something that looked better than a 3rd graders weekend project so i bought the upgrade Web Easy 5.0. Now with the 4.0, all i had to do was drag and drop pictures and text on a page where i wanted it and hit publish and put it into my www file, and that worked. But now with the 5.0, it has more options such as flash and swift ect.... Same principal, but when i go to upload everything into the www folder (as it worked before) it doesn't load the page. when i go to the website all the files are listed in the index instead of showing my webpages. I know, even sounds newbie! Any Help? I pretty much have the site i want to put up there for now, but everyone i talked to wants to charge an arm and a leg for website design when all i really need is for someone to take what i got and make it work on a website. thank you, Phillip Hollowell
