Oh sheesh, ok when I made changes to my homepage on my other site I upload to the index.html file, I don't see a index.html for my new site in file manager, also if I go to my site it shows a list of folders. I just created a page I want to show up when people go to the site....do I need to create the Index folder, how does the program know that is where my homepage is. Sorry but I am pretty much brain dead now. I am more than willing to read instructions on how to do this but after looking at the FAQ's I didn't see anything about this. I did get the ftp thingy set up with cuteftp and was able to connect but then I was stumped as to where to load my page to. Thanks! Donna

Good idea and I will go look to see what info I entered 2 years ago. Also I received my welcome email with all the info on the new site so now waiting for word that the domain has propagated. Once again TCH has proved they are the best Hosting Company in the World IMO

Ok I used my billing PW and got in, received the TotalChoice Hosting:: Signup Email but noticed it had my work phone so I just sent a help ticket giving my home phone number. Thanks Donna

Ok what do I check Tell us who you are: I am a new customer. Add this order to my account if I check add to account it wants my email address....no problem but it wants a password....what password?

Ok I already have a site hosted here.....cause TCH is the best so I just registered a new domain dabsy.net via TCH last nite Domain servers in listed order: DNS3.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM DNS4.TOTALCHOICEHOSTING.COM Registry Status: REGISTRAR-LOCK Registry Status: clientDeleteProhibited Registry Status: clientUpdateProhibited Registry Status: clientTransferProhibited Registry Status: clientRenewProhibited Ok so what is the next step in getting the domain hosted here? My other site was hosted with a different company so that process was different and about 2 years ago so not sure what is involved with just having a domain name and no site yet. Thanks Donna

Well I recall reading about upgrading how to but after looking around the different places I can't find it. I went to cpanel and didn't see the option to upgrade via cpanel......I did look in fantisco and from what I could understand that is for a new install. Thanks! Donna

Wow what a treat.....I was checking mail and noticed Fantastico in cpanel....ok what the heck is that I wondered so I clicked and big whoopie...I didn't know what most of the stuff was but I will have fun checking it all out Thanks your the best

Ok my mail is sending but I have to thank Abdul for jarring my memory when he asked for the PW to my qoj mail account....[i was using the cPanel pw] what I was doing was just clicking on the webmail icon in cpanel and had 2 choices so would click Hordemail and the next page had a login button and after clicking would go straight to my mailbox...what had me confused was in the folder list there is my default [domain assigned] mailbox in the top section and next was the qoj account I had set up awhile ago......I could read the mail but nothing would send....so after Abdul got me kick started I looked at the from address for the test mails I was trying to send and my default domain mail address was listed....well that is set up not to send. So I went back to the cpanel home page and clicked the Mail Icon and in the list is Manage mail so I click on that and gee there are both accounts so I clicked on qoj and the login/pw box comes up....I rememberd the pw and was able to get into the account and as that is set to send and receive mail my test mails worked. The only comment I have at this point is the Mail program is confusing with all the logins and the 2 different access points...but this time I made a note in case I have another brain drain BTW is there a "How To" listed that explains how the webmail works? Well I am not the brighest blub here and once again I am stumped I am using Horde and my Mail box has a bunch of folders. My default addy [the one with my domain and the original userid is at the top of the list and is set for Fail. I set up another account qoj@mydomain and can receive emails but if I try to send one to my verizon.net account nothing shows up. Also the reply feature does not send either. Oh when I access my mail I just click on the webmail icon in cPanel.....then click Horde and click login and my Mailbox appears with the list of folders. Thanks for any help Donna

Ok I downloaded the upgrade then couldn't find where it went to unzip it so made a special folder and saved it there, then unzipped it and went to cuteftp and clicked and dragged it kicking and screaming over to the public something folder where the Guestbook folder is and a bunch of files [600] were fed over and then I went to cpanel and see this: / public_html / guestbook / guestbook / (Current Folder) I checked the Guestbook and it still works but still has the old version so I give up, going shopping and think I will just dump the book and start over cause I am pretty lame when it comes to uploading and downloading and zipping and unzipping. But I would like to know what I did wrong Thanks everybody and have a great Sunday

Well it took some doing but I was able to HUNT [track] down what the real IP numbers were and have blocked em....the host is in SPAIN...so far no break thurs

Yes but the IP is not complete.....some of these are comming from Russia......as the country code at the end of other entries are .ru or maybe that's Romania.
