I've found most sites which do not look good with FF (my preferred browser) are those sites which had to be manipulated due to MSIE's inability to follow strict HTML standards. The sites I have created usually start out as strict HTML 4.01 (looking great in FF) and modified to look good in IE. This is unfortunate as I would MUCH rather follow standards than have to search the web for ways to tweak the page for IE. Of course, there are SOME items needing tweaked for FF because I don't know how to properly format the pages myself. For example, left floating divs and my problem with the text going past the footer div. But that is MY error.

Thanks for your help! I can figure it out by the date the email came telling me my account has been set up. I was just curious if there was a countdown clock to let us know about how much time we have left, what we have used, or what day the account expires. Maybe this would be a nice feature to add. It isn't terribly important, but it might be a nice feature for those who have multiple accounts and need to keep track of things so they don't lose information. Thanks again!

Where can I find out what date my account expires on TCH? Yep, been a long day and I think I am just missing it somewhere.

Greets! Today I was attempting to get into my PHPMyAdmin and it says "wrong password". But I just went there from my CPANEL, so I am confused about what to do. (Server 54). Also my website (which uses a database) Told me there were "too any connections" so I couldn't get info from the database through the site. Is this a known problem at this time, or am I just a problem child? This is the first time I have ever had any problems like this. Thanks for any help! erisande

If I do a full backup from CPanel, does it also include the databases table structure and layout? I checked out the GZ and I found a mysql directory, and it had my database names, but they were all of size zero, so I am confused... Thanks!

I checked over a friend's computer. They said they couldn't do anything with it. After booting the computer (WinME) I tried to hit the START button. It stayed depressed, but no menu came up. I could double click on MY Computer and (here is where it get strange), it said the options weren't allowing ActiveX. I clicked the OK button, and then the window had a marquee go by underneath the menus. It said "Finalizing Installation". It went across twice and disappeared. The computer still was unresponsive. Any thoughts, ideas? I will keep you posted of any findings if they are a bad thing. It's always good to keep others aware, eh?

Maybe I should have just said... I want some pictures to have wrapped text, and some to be centered with any following text forced to go below it. I believe I just have to make a (sub)class of IMG.

In a portion of my CSS scripting, I have: img { border-style : none; padding-right : 15px; padding-top : 10px; padding-bottom : 0px; float : left; margin-right : 1px; } to make my imgs left aligned with the text flowing around the right side. But now I also want to make another definition (class?) so I can mark an image to be centered and have the text forced below the img. How can I script it, and how do I implement it in the HTML code? I believe the HTML code would be something like: <DIV CLASS="importantimage">[basic IMG link]</DIV> Thanks for any help!

Well, TCH is in process of helping me with my first post, so cool! I can't wait until it happens! Also, using the same example from above, could I get www.bad.com parked onto www.good.com? I can't seem to park it myself with CPanel. I figured I would just put it there for the time being.

I have sent in the ticket, and prepared for the changes of DNSs. Soon things shall be put right again! YAY! Now all TCH needs to do is incorporate "rollover bandwidth". *LAUGH* as if I will ever use as much as I currently have...

Is it possible to have a different domain name as the base on my account? Example: When I made the account, I defined it with www.bad.com. Now that I have relaized my error in judgement, I want to switch out with a different domain name of www.good.com. I believe if this can be done, then all I would have to do after that is to change the domain server names on the www.good.account to point to TCH. The www.bad.com account will just hang out in the ether, eh? Thanks for any help you can provide! EDITED: Sorry, I have no clue why I posted this here. I must've been reading something in this forum. Hello! I can use entropy banners as designed, but I was wanting an entropy banner on my page. Unfortunately, I designd the page in PHP and the banner design needs SHTML. So if I make the page SHTML, my PHP items do not work. If I put the page as PHP and include the SHTML page, it only places the code in as a comment. Is there any way to mix the two, or is there another route I can take to get a banner style system going? Any help is appriciated. Thanks!

Ok, I got information on parking a domain. So on CPanel, I could Manage Parked Domains, Add www.coolsite.com to parked domains... Cool. www.coolsite.com is registered with NetworkSolutions (It is the group I am doing work for). What do I have to do at the NS site? Just edit the DNS listing? Thanks for everyone's help!

That is another part I should have asked in the question. 1) WHICH domain do I park? 2) What does that mean? 3) Does it affect any other part of how I connect to TCH (CPANEL, FTP, etc) Thanks for such responses! I already love it here, I am just trying to learn a few more things.

Greets! I am also on server 54, and the server status page has been like that for 3 days. Also, on my cpanel, the CPANEL icon (upmost left side) doesn't display. I get the small red X.

I am a (very recent, happy) TCH customer. I signed up for silver hosting to put up a website for a client of mine and while I was at it, purchased a personal domain name. Problem is, I didn't read the fine print about not pointing domain names to sub-domains. *Duh* Hence, the delima. Here are the stats: (names changed to protect us dweebs) personal.com : Domain Name and webspace with TCH. coolsite.com : Domain Name with NetworkSolutions. Desired effect: the coolsite.com domain name to point to my TCH space. This can be done with WebForwarding pointing coolsite.com to personal.com, but is that appropriate protocols for TCH? I keep hearing about parking one domain or another then switching DNS server names, but I am not sure how that works either. It all seems vague and unclear when I read those messages. I am not sure what I am going to do with personal.com at this time. It seems all it can do is point to the exact same site. I wish I would have been a better reader. Any suggestions on how to properly get the desired effect? Thanks!
