I recommend hanging. Shooting is a waste of lead but a rope can be re-used for the next spammer.

Also check out PC emulators for WAP and PDAs with browers. They may not be perfect but they will, at least, give you an idea of how your site probably looks and works on the real thing.

I've just transferred my site to a nice, shiny new hosting space with TCH. Before I changed the DNS entries to point to TCH I used the machinename.hostname.com/~username route to gain access and copy everything across. I - perhaps foolishly - put a link on the old site to allow potential customers access to the new one while the DNS changes propagated. It seemed like a good idea at the time ... I now have a situation where Googlebot (and possibly other spiders) has/have found the above route. They'll be back again, soon, via the proper (public) URL. My concern is that they'll see them as two seperate sites and penalise them for duplicate content. My questions are: a ) Do I have an impending problem, or will they ignore the apparent duplication (by IP address or some other mechanism)? b ) If I have an impending problem what can I do about it?

After a little more wandering around the world I ended up in (of all places) Birmingham in the UK. The company I worked with was on Democracy Boulevard - not far from Montgomery Mall - so I spent quite a lot of time in and around there. Usually lunchtimes indulging in one of my favourite pastimes - eating . I mostly used to hang out around (and above) Gaithersburg airfield. I never did get that pilots licence, though. Too many aircraft carrier style landings - and I moved over to Indonesia to work with some of the company's customers before I was ready to go solo. The flying was just too dangerous there! It's surprising how often Gaithersburg comes up in search engines when I'm looking for various things. For a small town there's a lot going on! I'm aiming to head over there some time in the next year or two. There used to be an excellent all-you-can-eat sushi and Mongolian restaurant I was a regular in. I plan to call in there if it still exists! I've been trying to find where it was on Google Maps but none of it seems familiar.

Thankfully enough of the link was available for me to take a look and have a listen. Not really the right time of year to listen to Christmas music, but what an awesome voice! BTW: I lived in Gaithersburg (mentioned on the web site) for a while, working with one of the IT companies in Bethesda. Fond memories. Will keep the link, and look out for more of your work.
