So if I copy your image and save it to my site and display it, it is still your image, and I need permission to do this. Not that many will follow this law.

In order to use them you must have permission from the author. Links to pages are not copyrighted, so you may link to copyrighted pages, but you may not use them as though they were yours.

This was aimed at a site that copied my whole K9 page content including links to my images. Some of the material is copyrighted by others. I have permission from each source to use and display the images (from my site) And I put a lot of hard work into my own copy. they just pasted my source into a frame, and used my bandwidth to display the images. four days after I changed the images they removed the page.

Assuming you are using the left frame for navagation,and the middle frame for the forum: for cutesite: for the link to the forum in the left frame add " TARGET="TRLX_Middle or if the link is in the midde frame use " TARGET="_self to the end of the link. or in another program if middle frame name is middle from the left frame <A HREF="http://mysite.com/forum/"'>http://mysite.com/forum/" TARGET="_middle">Forum</A> or in the same frame <A HREF="http://mysite.com/forum/" TARGET="_self">Forum</A>

Ok thanks, my goal is to make sure someone cannot rewite my config file to change where the form sends the data to. So If I put the two files mailit.php and the config text file in a folder with no write permissions and the files have no write permissions, and call mailit.php from another folder, I think my goal is accomplished.

So if I have a php form that reads a text file for the address to send to and I set them both to read, execute, no write is that safe?

I do not have an entry in .htaccess I just put the 404.shtml in the root folder and it works or I can put one in a subdomain and it will also work.
