TCH-Thomas Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 I had a little look in file manager and found 2 htaccess files in public_html. One is named "htaccess" and the other is named "htaccess.1051037865". It isnt something i uploaded, so what is it doing there? Quote
TCH-Rob Posted April 26, 2004 Posted April 26, 2004 (edited) The one with numbers after it is a backup of the last one before a change was made, kind of like htaccess.old or .bak. This way if your .htaccess file isnt working as it should and you cant remember all of the changes you made you can delete it and rename the one with the numbers after it to just .htaccess and things will be as they were.
