I have set up a couple of mailman lists. And of course, I have a few questions. (Please, Lianna, don't send me back to school!)

Can I have them displayed as "public" on my mailman page (http://www.bweiss.com/mailman/listinfo)? That page currently says I have no publicly available lists.

They do show, however, on the server's lists: http://www.bweiss.com/mailman/admin

Is that just a "deal with it" of having a shared server? :-)

Do the lists have to have my domain name appended to them? (For their accessible page of (http://www.bweiss.com/mainman/listinfo/sprats_bweiss.com)

Thanks!

C'mon Beth. If you haven't guessed that's what I always say when I don't know the answer! I'm "nurturing your sense of development" so that you can come back and teach me!

Guess what? I don't use Mailman either. Sorry. I'm no help to you today am I?

That is odd. I know for a fact that the lists I've setup for my account are all public, and they aren't showing up on my listinfo page either (http://www.rayners.org/mailman/listinfo/). I have seen them show up in the past. Something to look into when I get a chance.

As to the domain being tacked on at the end, that's just one of the side-effects of being on a shared server. It's the same type of reason that created email accounts have to login with username@domain.com instead of just username.
