borfast Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 You may have heard Linux is difficult to learn and use. Certainly Linux is different, but pointing and clicking work the same regardless of the underlying operating system. My four-year-old granddaughter, K.D., hasn't had any trouble figuring it out, and if she can do it, you can too. TCH-Don Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 That is very nice! Kids are amazing, especially if they do not know something can't be done Quote
HCSuperStores Posted April 8, 2004 Posted April 8, 2004 Hey there Raul! I've been on Linux for about a month now since we talked in another thread. Things are going really well. I have totallly wiped M$ from my larger HD and now completely on Linux - Mandrake 10.0 Community. Still don't have Apache working right though ... having trouble with the "virtual" includes. Execs, and other SSI work fine but "Include virtual=" don't execute my included script files, while the "exec" does. Any ideas? Thanks for your support on giving me the courage to go forward. I'm not looking back! Quote
borfast Posted April 8, 2004 Author Posted April 8, 2004 (edited) Hey HC, that's great! I'm glad you're doing allright with Linux Unfortunately, I don't have a clue on why Apache doesn't like your included files since my knowledge about Apache is a bit limited I'd go to the Apache website (apache.org) and search about your problem on mailing lists, see if there's an IRC channel available for support (even if not official). If you go to IRC, there's usually a #linux and/or #linuxhelp channel where people are very helpfull! Perhaps there's even an #apache channel Edited April 8, 2004 by TCH-Raul Quote
