curtis Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Anyone know, is it possible to view incoming mail as html with Horde. I receive several newsletters where I'm sent Web pages to view but all I get is the code. curtis Quote
Lianna Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Well, I'll be darned. I thought I had seen where that could be done, but it eludes me now. (I may well have been looking at another application and getting the two confused.) Sorry. Lianna Quote
KevinW Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Curtis, have you tried viewing your mail thru Mail2Web (www.mail2web.com) --- it's free, it's easy ... kw Quote
curtis Posted February 25, 2003 Author Posted February 25, 2003 I tried Mail2Web. Now I'm really confused. When I go to Horde and open my mail what should be a html only shows the code, no attachments just the code. Now I tried mail2web,it opened my mail box but shows no code only an attachment with a .unk extension. My browser says can not open file unknown file extension. Do you know if I can view html using Neomail? curtis Quote
curtis Posted February 25, 2003 Author Posted February 25, 2003 I'll answer my own question. NO. Neomail doesn't support html. If the person that wrote their FAQ is just an employee he should be fired. That is one arrogant person. I will go back to using snail mail before using their product. curtis Quote
KevinW Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 Curtis -- fyi, NeoMail is essentially no longer a maintained product - at least per their web site. -kw Quote
Larry Posted February 25, 2003 Posted February 25, 2003 It looks like Horde has had mixed support for seeing the HTML portion of an email within the body: here looks like the biggest reason it doesn't do it by default is for security reasons.. horde doesn't want to turn out like outlook express did Quote
curtis Posted February 25, 2003 Author Posted February 25, 2003 Larry, Thanks for the link to that forum. In Options > Display Options, you should change the setting "How do you want to display attachments" to "Display in the Body of the Message". Like some people in that forum I don't have that option. But thanks anyway. KW, After a couple of mails to Mail2Web I can now see the Horde mail in HTML. Thanks for the suggestion. I setup a private page and all my email except 1 at Mail2Web. Much easier than going to 4 or 5 urls. curtis Quote
