TCH-Thomas Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 I dont know the path names in english speaking computers so i have made a pic explaining my question. Pic indicates (circled in pic) that there is a system font. Where do i find that? I have looked in fonts folder, but no system font. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 Thomas, On my system it is in the Windows\Fonts folder and is an Adobe font. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted March 15, 2004 Author Posted March 15, 2004 You´re a lucky man Bruce. cause i dont have it in windows/fonts, which i think is strange since its obviously exists on my system. Oh well, lets just face it, you are magic. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 Thomas, I am looking on a Windows 98 install. I don't have XP in my office but I can check it when I get home. If it's being listed it has to be on your system somewhere. Have you done a search for "system.fon" on your computer? Or "system.ttf"? Quote
DarqFlare Posted March 15, 2004 Posted March 15, 2004 Windows XP does not have to have the font file in the Fonts folder. When you go to install a font that is in a different folder, the dialog box has a checkbox for "Copy font to font directory" So, it doesn't have to be in the directory. Windows XP just tracks where it is. I would do what Bruce suggested: search for the system font. Quote
TCH-Thomas Posted March 15, 2004 Author Posted March 15, 2004 I tried system.ttf but i didnt know there is system.fon too. I try it right away. Thanks Bruce and Robert. Quote
TCH-Bruce Posted March 16, 2004 Posted March 16, 2004 Well, I've scanned my XP machine and although the 'system' font is available for use, there doesn't appear to be a font file associated with it. So that would lead me to believe that it is embedded into Windows. Quote
