Guest Sammy Posted February 15, 2003 Posted February 15, 2003 I would like to set up a web page which would allow 1000 potential customers to view my site, but I would like to know who came to my site (and when). What would be the best way for me to do this, and can you accomodate it? One idea I have is to set up a password-protected site. I would send each prospective customer his or her own password. I would then rely on some type of web site reporting which would tell me who came to my site and when. Will this work? Is there a better solution? What is the best solution that you offer? I don't have a website yet and would like to know if this will work with your hosting service. Thanks very much. Quote
Lianna Posted February 16, 2003 Posted February 16, 2003 The following software I found while doing a quick Google search for the string " membership site mysql software ". It will do exactly as you are wanting and more. It is fully compatible with our servers and installed apps. aMember Professional $99 aMember Free version $0 Features and Comparison between Free and Pro This could be a very reasonable solution for you and would work well here. Lianna Posted February 16, 2003 Posted February 16, 2003 Well, this free aMember program is a dandy! (Thank you Nick for helping me with the install specifics. You ROCK!) You guys can check out the Sign up page here. Make sure you check the Payment option for FREE (I don't have the Paypal one setup for real anyway and the signup will bomb.) I also don't have anything real on the page that you'll be taken to for free membership area. You will just see the directory index for /freegoose. Just a little demo. Anyone that wants access to admin panel, just PM me and I'll let you in for a while. Lianna Quote
