Hi. I just bought a server from tch and I'am having trouble getting my bulletin board to work. Do I have to know php? I know some commands but not much. Anyways I installed bulletin board in cpanel into the forum folder. Now when I access mysite.com/forum I get the "index of forum". There is a link on the bottom called "index.php". Well I clicked the link and I get to the php bulletin board, but I can't make an account. Also I would like the php "login site" to appear not the files of php. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks B)

B) Welcome to the Family!!

I have nothing more to input on this issue as I have not used the service, and Bruce gave you the only thing I could have pointed you toward.

If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask!

If anyone else wants to know the version of phpBB that is currently in cPanel when installed is 2.0.6

I installed it today in my wife's domain and it was a pretty painless operation. :)

Thanks for help. I got it to work after an hour or two "fumbling" with it. Mad!!! But there are some other little things that are not working. When I try to upload an avatar, I get this error.. "Warning: copy(./images/avatars/281006242403963d5b4ac8.png): failed to

open stream: Permission denied in

/home/nvsxrpfhv/public_html/forums/includes/usercp_avatar.php on line

227". There are other problems in the board, but I will take one problem at a time. lol. Thanks again for all the help. Thumbs Up

I have not set the board I created to allow avatars to be uploaded. But the IPB board that I manange I do. The folder permissions had to be set to 777.

If you are still unable to get them to upload submit a Help Desk ticket (link at top of page) and I am sure one of the Tech Support guys will help you sort it out.
