[=hris Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 Hi, I have been trying to get this working for a while, on TCH and on my home server and i just cant figure it. I have installed the flash remoting addon for flash mx 2004 pro, and put the flash services dir on the server and created a decent gateway file, but i just cannot get flash to read the service Has anyone got any ideas? Thanks Quote
borfast Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 (edited) I never used it but are you sure it works on a Linux server? EDIT: Well, it does work but you need an ASP- or JSP-enabled server, which you don't have here at TCH: Flash Remoting MX System Requirements Edited February 7, 2004 by TCH-Raul Quote
[=hris Posted February 7, 2004 Author Posted February 7, 2004 ah nooo noo noo - this is not real flash remoting - this is a comunity project that basically allows PHP to be a remoting server All it requires is a bunch of php scripts - any server that can run php can run remoting - i just cant get it working properly Quote
vendlus Posted February 7, 2004 Posted February 7, 2004 You have a link to the community project so that we can look at it and see if anything strikes us? Quote
[=hris Posted February 10, 2004 Author Posted February 10, 2004 This is the home page www.amfphp.org This is a macromedia tutorial on it http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/mx/flash/...les/amfphp.html This is another tutorial on it http://www.actionscript.org/tutorials/inte...ing/index.shtml Thanks for looking Quote
borfast Posted February 10, 2004 Posted February 10, 2004 Oh darn, I knew I had seen that "amfphp" name somewhere but I didn't know what it was. If I had known what it was in the first place, I could have helped you earlier. My first troubleshooting question is: have you made amfphp's directory a part of PHP's include_path? Quote
