Petros Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 I'm trying to register my domain with our local registering body. When you submit the mail, the server does a check on the entries and I've received a mail back with the following error: CHECKING: Primary Server is ns5.totalchoicehosting.com at 66.246.77.52 WARN: No PTR records? - INFO: At 66.246.77.52 CHECKING: secondary 1 is ns6.totalchoicehosting.com at 66.246.77.53 WARN: No PTR records? - INFO: At 66.246.77.53 Could you shed any light on the matter, as this seems to be the only problem with me registering the domain. My domain I'm trying to register is centcomp.co.za Quote
Lianna Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 Who are you trying to register the domain with? Lianna Quote
Petros Posted February 7, 2003 Author Posted February 7, 2003 It's a company called Uniforum. They are the registers of all South African domains, in this case the .co.za domain. Website is at http://co.za if you need it. Quote
Lianna Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 Thank you. Let me take a look right quick. Lianna Quote
Lianna Posted February 7, 2003 Posted February 7, 2003 My gosh! co.za is the SLOWEST site I have ever had to navigate in all my life! hang with me for a bit. Lianna Quote
Petros Posted February 7, 2003 Author Posted February 7, 2003 Ha ha Only because it is hosted in South Africa, and you're fighting everyone here going out into the world. We don't have nearly enough bandwidth coming into the country to handle all the traffic. I'm here for a while yet, so I'll wait. Quote
Lianna Posted February 9, 2003 Posted February 9, 2003 Petros, I see Alan has responded to your helpdesk ticket. Please let me know if anything further is need from us to help get your domain registered. Lianna Quote
