sams60606 Posted January 28, 2004 Posted January 28, 2004 In addition to the global pop filters and spam assassin, it would be useful to allow each email user to configure filters and spam assassin. For example, John Smith who lives in an apartment might filter out messages containing 'mortgage' though Mary Jones, who is refinancing her home, might be expecting mail ffom mortgage companies. User-level email configuration could be specified on the webmail page. Quote
Lianna Posted January 29, 2004 Posted January 29, 2004 Hi, welcome to the family! Nice suggestion, but I'm not sure how it would be implemented since right now you access Spam Assassin through cPanel. Quote
sams60606 Posted January 29, 2004 Author Posted January 29, 2004 Change cPanel Spam Assassin options to some like: 1) Enable (disable) Spam Assassin for all mailboxes - or - 2) Allow Spam Assassin to be configured for each mailbox individually If option 2, allow the user to enable/disable Spam Assassin on WebMail. Same suggestion for email filters. Quote
Lianna Posted January 29, 2004 Posted January 29, 2004 Right, I understood the premise, but cPanel is third-party software....I personally do not know if what you suggest is possible through cPanel. Quote
DarqFlare Posted January 29, 2004 Posted January 29, 2004 We'll look into suggesting this to CPanel. I agree that having SpamAssassin configurable for each and every mailbox would be wonderful. Quote
sams60606 Posted January 29, 2004 Author Posted January 29, 2004 Thanks for considering my suggestion. Quote
