I installed PHPList, configured it, and had it running with three email lists. Everything was working fine until Saturday morning. Then the pages (confirm, subscribe, unsubscribe, index) were all showing as "file not available". We asked TCH tech guys to peek in, and they said something was wrong with our permissions. I don't know squat about permissions, how to change them, or how to even check them.

So, I deleted PHPList and installed the newest edition, hoping that it would start over and thus not have messed up permissions.

But I'm still getting the same funky errors.

Can someone help me, or tell me of a better replacement for PHPList?

Without specific error messages, we probably can't help much. I just looked at the installation instructions for phpList and see no mention of having to set specific permissions.....since it WAS working and now it is NOT, that begs the question:

What did you change on Saturday?

Did you add an .htaccess file or webprotect, or hotlink protection to a directory?

Install some other software that may have caused an interference?
