  1. Ok, read those articles, and think I found the prob... Could it be that we're so close to our space limit that it wasn't letting DW create the bogus folder so it can tell what time it is? I deleted a folder on the server and now it's letting me synchronize... Either that, or Andy just changed something! Oh well, didn't need that folder any more ;-) When are the old accounts going to be retrofitted with the new bandwidth and space allotments? Thanks for the help and the URL's. Selah
  2. Don, In the FTP settings for DW I have "/public_html/" as the "host directory". Again, I haven't changed this and it works for my other TCH accounts... but has something on that server changed and this needs to be changed to something else? I'm FTPing to ftp.****, it connects and shows the me remote folders. Selah
  3. Yeah, I use passive as the default on all my account (without it, most servers won't even show you the folder listing on the remote server), and I've tried it with and without it set to passive and still no go. Selah
  4. Aligning tables vertically can be a real pain. You can either align using things like "top" or "middle" but that's going to change based on everyone's resolution/screen size. Your best bet is to use a clear gif (1 pixel by 1 pixel) and then resize that image in DW to something like 5 x 100 pxs. Insert that as the top row of your table. That will force the remaining table contents to start 100 px's down, no matter what screen resolution. These "spacer images" can be a real lifesaver. Selah
  5. I manage over 15 websites on TCH with Dreamweaver. On one of my sites that lives on server 24, Dreamweaver has been giving me an error for about the past week saying that it can't determine server time so it can't upload/download/synchronize files. This isn't happening to any of my other sites on any other TCH servers... so I submitted a trouble ticket and was told they could see the server time... So where does that leave me? I haven't changed anything on my end, everything is working fine on my other sites, so now what? I've got a site I can't edit files... or rather I can edit them I just can't update them. Anyone else having/had this problem? Any tips on resolving this problem? Input would be greatly appreciated, I'm at my wits end. I've changed it from passive to not, and back again, and still no go... Selah P.S. I have tried this from my Mac and my PC at work, both doing the same thing for this particular domain.
  6. I installed PHPList, configured it, and had it running with three email lists. Everything was working fine until Saturday morning. Then the pages (confirm, subscribe, unsubscribe, index) were all showing as "file not available". We asked TCH tech guys to peek in, and they said something was wrong with our permissions. I don't know squat about permissions, how to change them, or how to even check them. So, I deleted PHPList and installed the newest edition, hoping that it would start over and thus not have messed up permissions. But I'm still getting the same funky errors. Can someone help me, or tell me of a better replacement for PHPList? lost & frustrated, selah
  7. Sorry guys, I finally figured it out! It was just a case of poor documentation that left out one very important step... the line that tells the script to print the results *argh* But it's fine now that we figured that out Selah
  8. I've tried installing two different PHP Tree Menu scripts on my site, and neither of them appear to work. I don't know if the problem is me (never used PHP before), the server (is there something I am supposed to set up but haven't? some permission, some cpanel thing?), or the scripts themselves (documentation for PHP? oxymoron!). So, if anyone has experience with this type of program, can you give me some pointers? If you're tech support, can you check www.americanpregnancy.org to see if that site is set up correctly to use PHP stuff? I know cgi is stored in the cgi-bin, does PHP have to be stored somewhere special, or just in the root? Me and PHP: Head Bash Whip Selah shutup <-- too much stress, not enough sleep, not enough hours in the day to do what needs to be done!
  9. I was trying to change some of the code in IBP's HTML/CSS "skins/templates" to modify the board more to fit my specific needs. But when I made the changes in IBP it said access denied, you don't have permission, contact support, chmod settings. Does that ring a bell? Is it something you can enable for me? Or is it something you've turned off to cut down on people messing up their IBP and then coming to you to complain? Selah (If an admin out there wants to change the chmod for me, it's wrcweb.org/staff/)
