Guest jingle_lady Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 Hi All! I'm new here. Why would changing the permissions of a directory to be 754 (me: everything, group: read & execute, public: read) cause the files within that directory to no longer show? Since the files within the directory are only jpgs, I do not need this directory to be executable, right? All the files in the directory have permissions 644. Does the directory need to be executable? Thanks, Anna jinglelady.us Quote
vangrieg Posted January 18, 2004 Posted January 18, 2004 For some reason I don't really understand, PHP scripts can't access files in directories without execute permissions. I get "permission denied" errors. I've never seen this anywhere except for TCH. Quote
