30SoS Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 Howdy, all. Rookie question (hopefully in the right forum). I've created (and tried to bury) a folder on my site that I've only given to a few people -- ie: example.com/hidden/test. However, I've noticed that if I go to example.com/hidden, I get a parent directory page that lets anyone get into the 'test' folder. With my last web host, the 'hidden' directory wouldn't come up without an index.html file -- so what do I need to do to lock this page off? Any help is appreciated... J Quote
TCH-Dick Posted January 14, 2004 Posted January 14, 2004 Use the Index Manager under Site Management on your cPanel. The index manager will allow you to turn indexes on or off for a directory. If indexes are off, people will not be able to see what files are in a directory that lacks an index file. Quote
