Jax Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 Hi Ive looked through the topics but I am unable to find how visible you are, or will be, to a resellers clients. I have a couple of people who want me to do websites for them and am currently looking for a resellers site. I notice that you do web design yourselves - so would you be visible to my clients via logos or links etc ? Cheers Jax Quote
TCH-Dick Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 no, we dont put any logos, links etc on your site. You would be your clients host, responsible for support etc. (you can come to us for support, but your clients will go to you) Quote
Jax Posted January 13, 2004 Author Posted January 13, 2004 Thanks for such a prompt reply Mike! Its appreciated. But just to touch all the bases - so there is no way a client will be able to tell that you are behind my reseller site? Would I appear to be a top level host? Jax Quote
TCH-Dick Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 Well, if you used the default name server ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2 thery could, we have generic name servers you can use also, or you can get your own branded name servers Quote
Lianna Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 To get your own name servers, you must get a Standard or Deluxe reseller plan. The generic name servers are available for all reseller plans to use. Quote
hindixp Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 To get your own name servers, you must get a Standard or Deluxe reseller plan Have upgraded to Deluxe, some of tech staff suggested changes in Domain Control panel for registering domain as a host. Cant find much info on this one, can anyone help me out so i can use my branded nameservers. See ya, manu Quote
Lianna Posted January 13, 2004 Posted January 13, 2004 manu, Who is the registrar for your reseller's domain? You will need to submit a helpdesk ticket requesting the 2 needed IP addresses (make sure you state the reason for the request...private name servers). Quote
hindixp Posted January 22, 2004 Posted January 22, 2004 Hi, Could i safely transfer my domain to TCH as my current Domain reseller is not able to allot IP's to be used for My own Branded Nameservers. Or as my registrat is network solutions, should i directly contact them for this. I would also need help in transferring a few more domains to be able to control from TCH domain control panel(if any) Thanks, manu Quote
Lianna Posted January 24, 2004 Posted January 24, 2004 Manu, Sorry I just re-read my post and see where it could be misinterpretted... You need to submit a help desk ticket HERE, at TCH, requesting the assignment of two IP addresses for use as private name servers for your reseller account. And THEN you go to Network Solutions and set up your name servers using those two IP's given to you from here. Quote
hindixp Posted January 24, 2004 Posted January 24, 2004 Thanks Lianna for Guiding me on this issue, People Like you Behind TCH Success are for sure the reasons for Us to be here. Thanks, manu Quote
