RickB Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 Hi, Sorry for the bother, but I've finally decided to use Moveable Type as the "engine" to drive my website over PHP Nuke. I had MT installed on my site, now I want to start "configuring it" and I am a very "slow and dense" non-programmer. I would like to a left and right colum showing my favorite website links. I notice the "Add You Links Here" but it does not do anything. How can I add different categories of links and the links themselves? Thanks, Rick www.rickblunt.com Quote
charle97 Posted January 11, 2004 Posted January 11, 2004 in your main index template, scroll down until you see add your links here. replace add your links here with the html code to link to other sites. Quote
RickB Posted January 12, 2004 Author Posted January 12, 2004 Thanks, Is there any other way to import the links. I have about a hundred or so to do and the thought of manaully coding them all leaves me...depressed... Rick Quote
charle97 Posted January 12, 2004 Posted January 12, 2004 well, i can't think of any other faster way to import the links. if you wrote a program to parse whatever file you have storing the links and then write to a file ready for porting to mt, it would take longer than manually typing those links in. pace yourself. do 10 a day and you'd be done in 10 days. how are you storing the links presently? as bookmarks in a browser? in a text file?
