natimage Posted January 8, 2004 Posted January 8, 2004 I'm trying to create a new FTP account to share a file with someone. I setup the account with username, password, and access only to a sub-folder beneath public_html. I have very carefully typed in the password...I even changed the password in cpanel twice to see if I had screwed it up, but it still won't let me connect to FTP. I get a "331 user ok" entry in the log and then a "530 authentication failed, sorry" entry Any ideas as to what I've done wrong? Quote

natimage Posted January 9, 2004 Author Posted January 9, 2004 Got it, Don! Thanks. I guess I should've provided more info. in the first place. Sorry about that! I set the user to >user@mysite.com and that did the trick. Thanks again. Quote
