Sub Domains

Yep... It's that Pesty Newbie again!!

 

I am trying to make Sub Domains work. I set up a Sub Domain like email.servinggod.net. I wait for it to propagate thru the DNS. I then redirect that sub domain to http://servinggod.net:2095/horde/index.php I again wait for a while. Now, when I go to email.servinggod.net, I get my homepage. I never get anything I redirect to.

 

Obviously, I am doing something wrong. Can any of you wonderful people give me some pointers? I would really appreciate it!!

I just set up the identical situation on my domain and it works dandy (and all happened very quickly).

 

Can you tell me what steps you took?

 

Here's what I did:

Open CPanel and go to Manage SubDomains

Enter the name of the subdomain (email.****)

Click Add button

Go Back

Select email.**** from dropdown list next to Setup Redirection button, then click the button

Enter

>http://****:2095/horde/index.php

into the space provided and click the Save button.

 

That was all I did.

 

I will tell you though, I was just changing the redirect on an existing subdomain and now it isn't resolving correctly...I'm going to keep an eye on this one....
