fasttoon Posted December 12, 2003 Posted December 12, 2003 I have a 300mb storage, right now my disk usage is 186mb. 60mb is just for logs, how can I reduce or eliminate the log file? Thanks. btw the log file is of no use to me because my text editor chokes on it. Quote
fasttoon Posted December 13, 2003 Author Posted December 13, 2003 Did I post in the wrong section or is it no one knows the answer? Quote
TCH-Andy Posted December 13, 2003 Posted December 13, 2003 Hi Fastoon, You can delete the files from within the tmp directory for analog and webalizer. I would not delete the awstats information, as I find the awstats in cpanel very useful. personally I also download the raw log files, and use a log file analyser to read them. Quote
fasttoon Posted December 15, 2003 Author Posted December 15, 2003 Thank you. between that and the logs I removed over 65mb. Quote
boxturt Posted December 15, 2003 Posted December 15, 2003 Hi Andy - Happy Holidays. Which log analizer do you use? Quote
fasttoon Posted December 21, 2003 Author Posted December 21, 2003 I don't unless there is some problem, I turned on all logging when I started. I don't know how to turn it off. They do come in handy when something goes wrong or I have to track something down. Other then that they take up huge amounts of space. Quote
