Rss Aggregators

I recently started tinkering with Bloglines, a web-based RSS aggregator service. While I like its features, I don't particularly like its interface. There are a ton of desktop RSS aggregators, but since I move between work desktop, home desktop, and wifi coffeeshop laptop (mmm, coffeeshop wifi... drool) I really prefer a web-based tool. So, I'm curious: Has anybody come across any PHP, perl, or other packages that do the trick? I have used tools such as magpie RSS in the past, but am looking now for something a little more feature-rich that I can install to my hosted space and use. Any suggestions?

I haven't heard of too many big web-based RSS readers out there, but I did a little searching on SourceForge and this is what I found:

I'm a big fan of syndication though, so I'll keep my eyes open for a good one.

Hi Mitch -- Thanks for the suggestion; RSS Owl looks pretty interesting.

 

I worked some more with Bloglines this evening, and it's actually really pretty cool. You can search its universe of subscribed feeds, and save the results as a separate feed that gets updated in your own subscription list. I can, for instance, save myself a "sociology" feed subscription, and when Bloglines picks up a new item that matches, it gets linked for me. Pretty neat stuff, obviously useful for less grad-school-ish things than sociology. As much as the interface bugs me a little, it does some cool tricks.
