egeller624 Posted November 20, 2003 Posted November 20, 2003 I have recently set up an advanced guestbook using the control panel and have done some customization (mostly style stuff). The person who's site I'm working on wants the ability to screen guestbook entries before they get posted. In other words, is there a way to have each guestbook entry sent to a specified email address for review or simply a notification that there is a new post, and have that post not go live until it has been viewed and approved? Not sure if this is possible, any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks. Quote
Lianna Posted November 21, 2003 Posted November 21, 2003 Login to the Administration panel Click General Settings Scroll down to E-Mail Options > Fill in Webmaster E-mail E-mail notification - Check the box to have it send and e-mail to webmaster (both private messages and the plain one). Scroll down to the bottom and click Submit Settings. Unfortunately, there does not appear to be a *preview before post* options with the Advanced Guestbook. But at least the identified webmaster email address would get an email at every post. Quote
