thesuper8workshop Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 Hi I've designed a form in dreamweaver to work with formail . The form has two boxes for email ( email 1 and email 2) and 2 for password (password 1 and 2) so that each can be verified. Can I write a script which will ensure that the two are the same before proceeding with the rest of the form. I would really appreciate the help. Looking forward to some help. Quote
Dennis Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 (edited) Hi, You can try using this extension by Yaromat, where you can check: CHECK FORM MX || "Check Form" offers much more than the native DW behavior: Menus, Lists, Textfields, Radios and Checkboxes can be validated. Menus and Lists can be validated for values or proper selection. Radios and Checkboxes can be validated for selection, state and even cause dependencies on other form objects (e.g. "If checked, then textfield can't be empty"). Input fields can be validated as e-mail strings, various date strings, time formats. A range of value or connected with checked boxes/radiobuttons. Compares two textfields (must have the same value) The killer feature is: You can define custom error messages! Just download the extension, install it using Dreamweaver's extension manager and you can access this behaviour in the Behaviour Panel. Dennis Edited November 1, 2003 by Dennis Quote
TCH-JimE Posted November 1, 2003 Posted November 1, 2003 Hi, Can I advise that you find a different script and not formmail.pl We no longer support this on our servers as it has many sercurity problems. Instead, why not use our specially created ultimate form script developed here at totalchoice web hosting Jim Quote
